A Stockton summer on dark paint
The Central Valley sun is hard on a finish. Clear coat takes a steady dose of heat and UV from May through October, and dark paint shows every bit of it: dull patches on the hood, a chalky look on the roof, fine dust that never quite rinses away. A black car can look worn long before it is.
Add the usual grime on top, road film, bugs, brake dust, winter mud off the farm roads, and a basic wash only gets you part of the way. The Ultimate Wash is the package for the car you want to look its best, and for the owner who wants the finish looked after as well as cleaned.
Twelve steps, from the pre-soak to the tire shine
It carries every step of the Deluxe Wash, and the Deluxe carries every step of the Express. So the car gets the pre-soak, soft scrub wash, clear coat protectant, spot free rinse and dry, then the hot wax, triple foam, under car wash and tire and wheel cleaner.
On top of those, the Ultimate adds three of its own: a lava bath, sun shield protectant and tire shine. The lava bath is a deeper clean in the tunnel before the finishing steps, and the sun shield protectant puts a coat on the paint with the Valley sun in mind. Tire shine finishes the wheels so the car does not roll out with clean paint and tired rubber.
A ceramic finish can be added to the Ultimate for $3 if you want one more layer of protection on the paint. The tunnel ends with a spot free rinse and dryers, so there is no towel step to leave streaks.
When to pick the Ultimate
Choose the Ultimate at $18 for a new car, a dark one, a car that lives outside, or any time you want the whole menu in one pass. It is $2 over the Deluxe and $4 over the Express. In the Unlimited Club it is $39.99 a month, and the plate reader at the entrance on 2908 W Benjamin Holt Dr recognizes members, so you roll straight in.
